Berbice House

Berbice House in Voorschoten is also known under the name Allemansgeest, which was originally the name of a farmhouse that stood here. It was built around 1670. Much of its former splendour has gone. On the grounds of Berbice, the famous silver factory was built in the late 1900s. Also part of the former property is the house Allemansgeest on Vliet river. For a long time, there have been plans to create a highway on the estate. Let us hope this will not happen!
